My Heart's In The City
Saturday, June 27, 2009Farewell I give to the shadows that enshrouds;
Farewell to my friends, farewell to those trends;
Farewell to the companionship that I cherish no ends.
Farewell to Clovers, farewell to Majestic;
The end days of Estate that were so fantastic;
Wherever I would wander, wherever I would rove;
This country of mystique, forever I would love.
Birthday bashes and drunken revelries;
Jokes cracked like wild-strawberries;
People aghast on the cakes I smashed;
Not to underscore the pain that I hashed.
Trails that were tracked, mails that were hacked;
Organs that were hit, efforts that weren't fit;
Late nights that became lovely mornings,
Early mornings that became heart-burnings.
Days came and days went by;
Happiness came but some said goodbye;
More boring movies were seen than were let bye;
Hence is the irony, of the days that slid by.
Aspiring hope, conspiring destiny;
Following desires, longing from years so many;
Chasing the doe, resulting in woe;
The time has come when I have to go.
Thank you my friends, for all the stimulants;
Save The End, by keeping phone in hand;
I expect your real hey, since its just airway;
Meet me some day is what I would say.
Because after all...
I am just shifting city, not from being witty!!
